Kathmandu: Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the idea of weakening or dismantling his party will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Speaking at an interaction organized by the Kathmandu Constituency No. 7 Election Regional Committee on Friday, Nepal warned against internal and external efforts to undermine the party.
Criticism of Internal Plots
“Anyone who hinders development is an enemy,” Nepal said, adding that the biggest challenge for a communist party often comes from within.
He criticized certain leaders for promoting divisive ideas. “Some people think that Congress should be made an enemy, our friendship with the Maoists should be broken, and our party should be isolated and weakened. This idea of ending the party cannot be accepted,” he stressed.
Call for Left Unity
The Unified Socialist chairman also expressed concern over the rising morale of monarchist forces. He said the Socialist Front has taken the initiative to create a united left bloc to counter these challenges and strengthen progressive forces in the country.
